Default 08 5.3 rear main leak?

Is the a large number of 5.3 rear mains leaking? I believe mine is and am wondering if I'm the only one.

There is a SB regarding this, no idea on numbers but there are some for sure. Some kind of porous casting issue around the aft cover....

Take it in and get it fixed. Not a big deal at a decent dealership.

I had an oil leak at the back, but it turned out to just be the reserve oil cooler plate gasket thats located above the filter. They fixed it quick and hasnt leaked again since.

Do they need to remove the engine to replace the main. Or do they use a tool such as a "sneaky pete" to get it out, (like I have before).
