Default 08 CC Z-71 Exhaust options

So I am starting to look around at cat back systems for my 08 CC. Who is running what? I am kinda thinking I would like the Gibson exhaust, anyone running that? I would really like Magnaflow but not offered for my truck.

Any idea's? I dont want to use an exhaust shop, none worth going to around here.

looking forward to hearing what you have.

most guys are pretty happy with what they have, it will be interesting to hear from the guys who didnt like one system and went to another.

regardless, I went with the Corsa (sport) dual exhaust because unlike the GMPP version I could still keep my rear tire. It has been a few months and I am still very happy with it.

I just had a large magnaflow muffler welded up on my truck with a 3" tailpipe and magnaflow tip. I don't know how to explain the AFM other than you can hear it change, but the tone doesn't really change. The exhaust is still deep and throaty in 4cyl mode, you just hear the truck swith back and forth. I am very happy with mine

Corsa sport side exit here. I have the 6 litre and 35 inch tires and I do hear the change with DOD but it's not a big deal. I actually wish mine was louder, but that will be taken care of when I go to LT's and a custom y pipe and a x pipe built into right after the headers.

I pained over what exhaust to get for mine for quite awhile. Luckily I had the chance to drive a few different trucks with various setups and ended up getting a corsa sport side exit with the dual 4"tips.

Very happy with it overall, no drone and I mean none. Nice and quiet when you drive like we all should but really lets you know it's present when the pedal is down.

DOD/AFM basicly sounds like a 6 speed vette that is in high gear when your cruising down the road at 30 mph if you know what I mean. Basicly sounds like your just taking it easy, no farty sort of noises at all.

The GMPP side exit seemed okay, have heard reports of drones though.

The BB triflo sucked IMHO, sounds like an outboard that is halfway out of the water, yuck.

The Corsa touring was nice as well, but to quiet for my tastes, wasn't alot different than stock.

Magnaflow was loud and a touch droney.

Hope that helps,

Tony
