Default 08 Sierra RCSB Z71

Hey Guys,

First post here, so I have some newbie questions.

Truck: 08' Sierra RCSB Z71, 5.3L, 3.73's on 20" GM rims. Otherwise stock.

I'm looking to add some power so let me know if I'm on the right track. Planning to add:

Airaid MIT, with K&N Drop in
Muffler delete
Diablo Tuner (not sure which one to get.. Diablew?)

Outside of that is this enought to be in the low 15's with my truck? I know the 20's will hurt it a bit. No other plans right now other than some tint, and HID's.

BlackBear is a mail order tune. You fill out a form and they send you and ECM/TCM with a tune on it. Other then that your intake and muffler delete will yield you no gains. Gears or longtubes are going to be your best bet. A mild stall would be a better option though.

Also my 06 RCSB, 4.8, 4.10s, Lts, and tune went 15.1 with a 2.4 60ft. Im sure your 5.3 with a Blackbear would put you about the same. What size tire you running?

Good points. I like these kind of replies. I had heard that a custom tune from Lew @ Diablew might be as good a blackbear tune?? How much is that above mail order tune from Blackbear??

They are a big tire, 20" factory avalanche rims and tires... 275 width or whatever is stock...

I cant comment on the Diablew tunes, but its essentially the same as blackbear I assume. Your truck is going to be a bit more then mine, but mine was about 340.00. Yours has a seperate ECM/TCM, so its going to cost extra. You can check out there website, and send them an email for a better idea.

Hey man. Glad u joind us. Trust me I had a hand held tuner and I just got a custome tune frome a friend that I met on here about 2 months ago. Trust me/us when we say dont wast your hard earned $$$ on the hand held tuners are not worth it. I got my bully dog for 450 I got my custom tunf for 200. The power and drivability is soooooooo musch better with a custome tune. I wish I hadnt wasted the money on the hand held.
