I got the trans off of car-part.com like was said before.. Its a good place to find alot of parts honestly since thats also where i got the harness.. That was harder to find than the trans for sure. The harness also had to be repined in a few places.

The 6l90e cost me around 1200 Shipped or so.. With 9000 miles
The harness was around 250 shipped.
There are alot of other little things that go into it as well. Id say I have anywhere from 1500 to 1700 in just the trans swap or maybe alittle more.. I stopped counting all the little things as there were so many.

So most everything is pretty much finished up on it. It runs, but not the greatest without a tune.

I added some videos to the first page of the post.

Default Stock Drive-Shaft ... Whats left of it.

So I finally got my Truck down to bluecats for tuning. Id just like to say regarding bluecat I can not say enough good things about the guy or his tuning. Even if i didnt live so close knowing what I do I would of drove twice as far just to get it tuned by him. Guy really knows his stuff.

Anyway on to the horror.. So We got the truck pretty good on 6 to 7 pounds of boost on the street and he was ready for the dyno tuning.

I will try and remember the numbers best I can it is alittle fuzzy after the driveshaft came out from under the truck..

Following Video is a pull with 4th gear only locked in. No meth injection.

Top Speed - 120mph
Rpm - 5000
RWHP - 397
RWTQ - 395
PSI - 6.5
Timming - 11 degrees

On to a stronger drive-shaft ....

damn man.
id look into a dennys driveshaft. what gears are you running i dont feel like searching the thread

i think your suppose to dyno in 3rd with a 6spd not 4th but I dont personally know

6psi in a 5.3 11* of timing cammed should have put more HP down. I personally thing that cam is too big of a split for those heads. then again thats just my .02

It might be the cam.

But thats wasnt a final tune at all and as I said the first pull that was done.

I had read alot about the drive shafts being junk and not taking them over 90 mph.. We had even talked about it. I guess I know to at least believe the hype there.

I am running 3.73s that came in the truck stock. I may have to step down.

I was told to look at Dennys. You are the second, so I guess thats who I will go with I am going to try and call and order it today.

3:73s arent the problem.
which gear is closest to the 1:1 or whatever ratio is required for a true HP/TQ reading.

the steel driveshaft isnt the ones that explode over 90 but yours didnt like the load of the system lol. hopefully you get it fixed
