hey Gonzo, sorry it took so long to reply but ya it is definitely a thought in my head to gettin that truck. And yes its real strong, i had my buddie drive it so i could race him in my truck and from a dead stop it took me by a full car untill about 35mph then i caught it and got a car on it, but damn dude its bone stock, and my truck runs 14.2-14.3 consistantly. So u could only imagine that truck would be 13.7s or so with tune, intake and exhaust

You gotta watch those sales folks. They will stupid up real fast when they find out a better package is available. They know it will leave current packages sitting on the lot.
I got my truck in 05 when they deleted the 3.73 gears. She will be paid off in November and getting them installed in celebration.
I have never ordered a truck. If you back out will it cost you more than a new set of 3.73's?

so you CAN get 3.73's with a 6.2L 4x4? Every time I've built one on the website it will only let you put in 3.42 gears? My wife wants to trade in her tahoe......it has 4.10's rear and front....I wonder

Don't worry about the 3.42's it just gives you more reason to swap gears, and since you're going to go that route, I'd go with 4.10's. In my opinion, that would be the perfect setup 6.2,A-6 with 4.10s

3.73 gears
You can only option 3.73 ratio with 265/17 tires. Any other tire size option requires 3.42 gears. Most dealers ordering for stock seem to prefer the 20" & I believe 22" tires and as a result cannot option the 3.73.

I just sold my old silvy and my vette to buy my new 6.2 Sierra. It's a 4wd SLT with the 3.42's
I would have kept my vette but I needed a crew cab and I wanted the luxery of the SLT. It reminds me of what I got rid of. Sticker was $44,200. I got it for $35,000 flat plus TTL. So far I love it. I just put the second tank of gas in it.
