Any updates? Did you try calling their tech support to get assistance?

Here's a few pictures for you guys. I have not contacted Kooks about the ypipe being to long. I think it would be easier to just take the truck to an exhaust shop and have the pipe cut the right length than to put the old exhaust back on and wait for a new ypipe. Plus the place I bought the headers from has made it clear they don't really want to mess with returns. I might could send it directly to Kooks but its been enough of a headache already.

3 inch headers still have to be better than 3.5 inch factory... Kooks does their research too.

They make them different now from when I bought mine in November. I bet it is so the same Y-pipe can be used with the new 09-10 exhaust connection. Kinda sucky.

Here's a picture of my Kook's y-pipe:

^Ive been staring at that pic a lot lately. It looks like its closer to the right length. Like you, I think they made the newer ypipe longer so it could be cut off to match different exhaust configurations.

No doubt the headers flow better but why restrict the rest of the exhaust? Once you reduce the size, the pipe further back can never flow as well as it would have. Why does Kooks make this particular system smaller than the factory size tubing yet the Camaro, Corvette, and Mustang all have larger than factory size pipe? Whats good for one isn't good for another? If I could do it over again I would buy the older Ypipe that is a full 3.5" and make it longer if need be or I'd just buy the ARH system. Looks like I'll be going to an exhaust shop as it is. If I would have known I could have had them tailor the other ypipe to fit my application. Then I wouldn't be constantly pissed about having the smaller ypipe.

I would take them off and return them.
The are not thre right size and don't fit the truck, and they are not cheap.
Get the ARH's.
They fit perfect.

I inquired about sending them back but the place I ordered them from didn't want to take them back. Well at first anyway. They later told me they would take them back minus a 25% restocking fee plus I would be out the shipping. Doesnt really seem fair does it. Oh well, I guess I won't be buying from them ever again. Whats sad is I was about to drop $2350 with them for the Kooks true duel forth gen fbody exhaust.

Didnt know they made a kit to fit under those cars. Mine was just an X pipe into bullets then dumped. $2350 is a little over the top though.
