Bud8 thanks, thats what im hearing from numerous people. Im thinking of installing the lt's tomorrow or monday and running the ory for a few weeks to see if I really need cats. I know lt's without a retune make you run rich. Is there any chance that instead of rich it could make me lean? Wondering if it's safe to install and run without a retune for a few weeks?

I would think you would run lean since the efficiency of the motor will be increased with the headers. Could be wrong tho.

Used my stock cats on my LPP LT install and picked up 25whp and 40 ft lb. They were very loud catless hooked up to a spintech muffler.
