Default 1/4 mile times *updated*

posted an update on page 3

hi there guys how u doing.. i expected a better time to be honest after seeing what those 6.2's are capable of like ken got a 12.7 , i cant recall who as well got a 13.5 with just a muffler and tune..

maybe its because the DA of the track, which i dont know what it is cars dont usually get very good times there , i may buy a G-tech and try it out

60ft was 2.125 *wheel spin* AWD<< there was no vht on the track
1/4 was 13.513 @ 103

everyone at the track was empressed, however i wasnt

now comparing my previous tune to this i gained about 7 - 8 tenths on the 1/4 which is really impressive but still i expected high 12s atleast , could it be because of the track maybe?

you have to rememeber im on DRs and 17s in the front with my setup PLUS i dont have an awd nor extra bus weight like you! so honestly i think your truck could do better with a torquer cam. what gears are you running i dont remember?

its was 75.2F , not sure about the DA , oh u where on DRs never knew that the AWD helps off you get off the line i would never remove it even if it weighs alot it really helps me during street racing *no wheel spin * 3.42 gears

it weighs 5600~ lbs stock.. i have the spare tyre removed as well as the 3rd row seats dont know how much exactly it weighs

you need 3:73/3:90/4:10s imo. if not grab a set of DRs and go back!

I agree. You can't get a good time at the dragstrip with wheel spin. That first 60ft makes a big difference in your ET.

cant be more true buddy! my truck went 13.0 @ 104.2 all the time, swapped converters went 12.77 @ 104.5 then got some cooler weather and it went 12.73 @ 104.54. the best MPH my pos ever had was a 104.95 and thats with a 1.8 60' compared to my usual 1.76 60'

The DA can be a HUGE factor. A NA truck that runs 12.5 in TX in 500' DA will run 14's in Denver @8500DA.
The AWD is going to kill you at least .3~.4 vs a 2wd truck thats hooked up. That cam is also on the big side, with a wide LSA, and a lot of spread...

i bet you could be just as fast if not faster with a 224/232 or 224/234 .595.600 112+2
i bet that thing moves at 50+ mine on a 3200 converter use to reel Skipperdaddy in and he's supercharged! i wanted my truck to be a roll racer not a 1/4 mile queen. i got away from that when i went with the 3600 i hung side by side with Skipperdaddy but i couldnt outrun him. ill more than likely swap cams later...i want a monster roll racer but something that drives better
