Question 1.8 Rockers or LS9 cam? 5.3

I have a 2009 EXT cab with a 5.3 with a few basic mods and am wondering what would be a better gain; 1.8 rockers or the LS9 cam

Thanks!

Ls9 cam for sure. The rockers will net maybe 5-15hp at best, but the ls9 cam will gain 35-50 and more if you get a tune and haven't yet.

Save your money on both and buy a cam designed for a N/A 5.3 motor.

Because that cam is designed for boost. A n/a motor is a complete different animal in airflow requirements in relation to cam lift duration and lobe spacing. If you read a bit closer the majority of people who go the LS9 route are also forced induction.

The LS9 cam has way too much exhaust bias for your setup. Get a properly sized cam...something like a 212/218.

I have a LS9 cam and it BLOWS! no bottom end at all. barely any at middle rpms. pulls decent on top, 4500ish to 6000. It is a dog with no get up and go!
