I'm glad you're loving your truck. I see the evolution even though I dont own my own. I know ppl that do. The new Burban makes me want to upgrade, but I love my old one too much.

My guess is that they really dont expect you to stay stock long anyway.

My first new Chevy was a '78 4X4 stepside.
It was a Scottsdale with a 350 and a 4spd.
Had the world right by the ***!
Now have a 2011 with the 6.2 and the same holds true!
Back in '78 the 2011 would have been like a spaceship.

I wonder how long my plastic chrome wheels will last.

Am i the only one who misses the vent window on the drivers and passenger side front window? Granted they never sealed well ( a nickel or beer bottle top fixed that) those were awesome for pushing in some fresh air!

Side note - a mullet smiley should be added to the list.

You're not the only one! But, I have to admit I don't miss them nearly as much since I quit smoking. They were the most perfect ashtray ever invented - AND great for airflow.

Yeah I picked up that habit again for the new year. I just couldn't see myself driving around in a $40k dollar ash tray though. I can't wait to put them back down!

If I was still a smoker I just could not bring myself to smoke in my truck or GTO. I never smoked in my Camaro either back when I had a pack a day habit.

I don't know if you have the rear power sliding window, but that lets in a TON of air flow. Between that and the sunroof I don't even have to put my side windows down!
I didn't get that option, but I'm just curious: does the whole window go down, or is it just a section sliding over like on the previous generation trucks?

It just slides over. I wanted it but couldn't find a 6.2 that had it.

I just have the solid rear glass. No sliding window, no defroster lines, just a huge solid piece of glass.
