2/3 drop how do I do it? 2012 Silverado 1500 4X4
I did a search and although there is 3 pages none of them really answer much.
I know nothing about lowering my truck but what iv read on here. Whats the best way to do this? Looks like I will need Ground Force front spindles. 2" rear shackles and remove blocks. Will I need shocks? Will anything handling wise be changed? I want a OEM quality ride or better and a OEM quality kit. Will I have any Vibration? Will a rear Sway bar still fit? This is a daily driven truck that will see salt and winter and be used as a truck. A truck with a SC 6.2L but a truck. I saw this truck and this is exactly what I want.

It has 2 in ground force spindles, 2 in shackles and blocks removed.
It sits with a slight front to rear rake, higher in the rear.
The wheels are Black Rhino's and tires are Michelin at2 285/55/20.
No need to change shocks and it is an easy install at a good front end shop.
You will need the alignment checked after.
If you change spindles and not springs or struts you retain your factory ride.
I have done the same suspension change to 3 nnbs trucks and have had no driveshaft vibration in any of them.
My 2010 has the same suspension and GM 20's with 285/20/20 toyo's

just to reinforce what I said earlier.
heres where you'll be sitting at 3" drop without cutting bump stops
and here's where you'll be sitting cutting off the 1st groove, rides like factory again. dont make my mistake haha, do it this way the first time!!

stylintrucks.com has the belltech #25003 drop struts for $190/shipped, which offer 2" of drop.
the benefits of this are:
-easier install than the spindles, plus no risk to damaging ball joints
-no decrease in turning radius, which the spindle will do
-performance shock valving
shackles, with the bolt spacers to pull the rear blocks, can be had fr $80 shipped from summit
So you should have only $270 invested in parts and like $70 for an alignment

Mcgaughys does make coil relocators... theyre like 125. but then the bilsteins will be like 400.
I say do the belltech all around. The rears are like 120/pair.
so 191+118+67=377 total for your drop with the shackles/block removed and will handle great. its a proven setup
