2007 yukon denali tranny tow haul only erratic shifting
It all started when I raced a v8 swapped s-10 from a roll while in tow haul mode. After I raced the dude getting on the highway, he lost and got in the slow lane. So i got over too then the truck started shifting erratic in tow haul. Once placed out of tow haul it was fine. Now its doing it off and on only in tow haul though.
The truck is tuned and dynod but was not tuned for the wheels I was running at the time of first act up. Its shifting bad with stock wheels back on too. The guy that tuned it pulled the shift point and rev limiter changes he had in it but still no different.
Im wondering if its software? Some say the 6l80e can act up and need a relearn possibly. Maybe the wheels screwed it up and requires the relearn. Its been about 6 months with the wheels and tune with never a hiccup.
Did I break or wear something internally? If so why is it only in tow haul?
I stopped by the tranny shop and he claimed there wasnt much he could do by pulling the pan, They also didnt seem too interested to work on the 6l80e either though. 2nd shop that gave me that impression.
If its internal, My friend can get me a factory rebuilt at cost with a 3yr 30k warranty and put it in, but what about the relearn? Does the dealer need to do that after the install? Can I drive it to the dealer?
Any help would be great! Not sure if I should just bring it to the dealer.
