2009 4.8l ??
Hey guys, just got an 09 CC 2wd 4.8l. I've been out of the loop on these things for a few years...lol. What are some of the differences engine and tranny wise, and what are some of the basic bolt-ons yall are starting with. I will be tuning it and an exhaust, and a cai for sure. What about the induction, ive heard they have larger that the older 78mm setup. I did notice it has 243s on it too. I tried search, didn't find much on the nnbs. Thanks for any info in advance fellas.

it seems these new motors pick up better with mods because of the better intake and heads. other motor difference is the e38 computer. not sure if that makes more power or not. the block is still iron on the 4.8's as im sure you seen. the TB is 87mm now but the same pattern as the 90mm guys.

Yes the 243s are on the 4.8 as well. And as far as getting the cc with the 4.8, i aint worried about stomping ***...lol If i was i'd have just got a single cab with the 5.3. It was just one they had on the lot i really liked the color option on and its all I need for hauling the kids and my girl around. And i think that in 09 the 4.8 is 295 hp, so thats about equal to what your 5.3 came with correct.

also in 09 doesnt all the truck have the 6speed auto? which is a great improvement over the old 60e?
