Not sure if this a prpoblem because of cold weather or ??

My camera in rear view mirror ....... Works as normal when shifted to reverse ......BUT ALSO comes on when I touch the brake in "D" goes out when I release brake .....anybody have this happen ?/ ........... yes I can take to dealer but if just a cold weather thing .dont really want them ripping dash apart etcetc
