2010 Silverado 6.2L w/Volant and CARB
I hear a lot of guys talking about how good the Volant air filter is for this engine.
Anyone know if it is CARB exempt (legal), or is it illegal to have in California. Damn i hate this state sometimes.
By the way, Im new here. I just ordered a 2010 Silverado 1500 CrewCab LTZ with the 6.2L, expecting delivery in 6-8 weeks. Finally moving on from my 2000 tahoe z71.

Vararam will have something soon for 09-10 6.2's it will make the most power if tuned properly...

Volant is a nice kit too, not sure about CARB, it doesn't show on thier website. Do they really check for CARB approval during inspection?

Normally the guy doing the smog check just looks for a CARB sticker.
At least thats what he does with my current truck.
I just dont want to be caught in a bind and have to deal with issues.
markislive78, I see you have a HPTuners tune on your truck. How easy is that to do?
I have a hypertech on my tahoe, simple and it works. When my 6.2l silverado comes in, i want to put a tune on it, but nothing crazy. I dont plan to race it, just use it for towing, and i would like to get a little better mpg when empty. Can you adjust the TCM parameters with the HPTuners?
