2011 climate control feature
Can I take a non climate control truck, just has the three ***** that you can not turn the fan/blower off, and install the SLT climate control piece in the dash and it all just plug in and work? Or if not what is involved? telling the pcm that it has this feature?
Reason I am asking is I have found the truck I want exactly, except I do not like not being able to turn off the fan/blower when I do not want anything coming out.
Thanks

On the GMT800s it was not possible to do because of the extra temp sensors and controls required.
Are you sure that the fan cannot be shut off? If you are moving, air will blow through the vents without the fan being on at all. My 2010 with climate control does this as well as my 2004 without it.

What you are saying is what I thought also. But when test driving the truck it was blowing what had seamed to be on the low setting, and it was relative to the temperate setting **** also as to how the air felt. So, I just assumed it was not possible to shut the blower/fan off.
Can you elaborate on what your acronym stands for with GMT800?

There is a recirc button in between the temp **** and the **** for the vent position ****. The new trucks default in fresh air mode where outside air free flows through the vents. There is no way to tune around this, just have to hit the button every time you start it. Also the recirc will kick back over to outside air when defrost is on, nature of the beast.
