2012 silverado ccsb 2wd driveline issues
has anyone had an issue with a driveline vibration with their trucks? my truck is how the title states a ccsb with the nht package, and pretty much since day one it has had it,and it also got a lot worse when we hooked a trailer up to it. They have already replaced the driveshaft, that made no difference, and GM TAC recommended to replace the pinion and put shims to adjust the pinion angle, we'll see if that fixes the problem, because this really sucks when my 11 year old silverado has no such vibrations even with a suspension lift and all, any input is greatly appreciated........

I wouldnt start throwing shims in it until I measured the angle.
When is the vibration? Decel highway? Accel off line? Does it remain when you unload the driveline aka put it in neutral?

it does it during accel between 45-60, it does it right before the upshift at wot at 45, and its constant between 50-60 just not as noticable, and it got about 10 times worse with a trailer hooked up to it...

well those symptoms would definiteley point towards the drive shaft. you willing to do a 2 piece yourself? I cant see a GM doing that

Go to a couple of driveline shops and ask them how they feel about building a single 82in driveshaft, put it in writing and take it to GM. If you make a big enough stink about it you would be suprised what they will do, you just have to be ready for the uphill fight. I would have already done this but since I have lowered my truck they will use that against me.
