2013-2014 6.0
I have a friend that has a new 2013-2014 Chevy 2500 Ext Cab with a 6.0 (he purchased it new from dealer). He recently told me it runs terrible. He said it struggles to pull his toy hauler (only about 20-24Ft), and gets less than 10mpg driving around town (not towing, and staying out of it). He told me he contacted BB and was told its an issue in the 2013-2014 pcu. He said he was also told, they (BB) cant do anything about it yet. This matters to me because I'm considering a newer 3/4ton vehicle, and don't want a dog. Anyone had similar issues, or have information to dispute what I have been told? Thanks
Yes this was originally posted in the GMT K2xxx (2014+) forum. They got their panties in a bunch cause I guess it belongs here. All I'm looking for is some responses, not forum police. Thanks if you have something useful to add.

Well the reason they moved it to here is because a 2014 2500 series truck is not a k2xx. Its still a NNBS platform. All I can tell you is "warranty". Never heard of this problem, someone will chime in tho. My NNBS 5.3 pulls my 24ft travel trailer just fine. Before and after tune. And I average about 16mpg in town and 10-12mpg pulling trailer. About 5k lbs. The 6.0 is a good motor and shouldn't struggle at all.

Whoops, I was just trying to be helpful. I figured you would get a more relevant, accurate response if your query was posted in the correct forum. From my perspective, I tried to suggest this in a positive, helpful non-threatening manner. I apologize that you were offended by my post.
And my panties are in a wad due to IBS not about where you post on the internet.

If he is expecting diesel like power, torque and gas mileage that is more than likely why he is disappointed. His comments and complaints match that of every 6.0 in a 3/4 or 1 ton truck to that of our customers to a T. It's nature of the beast motors too small the trucks too big. Throw 4 wheel drive a 8 foot bed and crewcab on and it's maxed out. It doesn't make enough power or torque to move the truck loaded without beating on it and there goes the gas mileage. We've had more than one traded back in at the dodge or ford place for diesels especially if they buy the truck to use as welding trucks.
