Default 3/5 Drop AWD 2007 NBS Sierra Denali Possible?

Hey Guys,

I have a 2007 New Body Style Sierra Denali AWD. I am wanting to drop it at least 3/5, but have heard from both belltech and mcgoughy's that I could have binding issues with the axles in the front...anyone have experience as to how low you can go with AWD on the new trucks?

Also, what is the best option for accomplishing this drop? It looks like the belltech 647SP kit comes with everything needed, including shocks? Anyone have experience with this kit, or is there a better option?

Thanks!
Brian

I would love to do this on a 2011 2500Denali HD except 8 / 12.

Look how much higher the hd is than my truck. Mine is a 4x4 lowered 2" in the front. The HD is way too high for me. I never go off road. Not even a dirt road.

I'm at 3/5 using macaughey's components on my short crew 4x4. I had to make spacers to lift the tranny mount off of the crossmember and then used another set of spacers to go between the transfer case and tranny mount. In 4x4 it has a slight vibration due to the front pinion angle. But as soon as I get some time I am going to drop the front diff out and make another set of spacers to correct the front diff pinion angle. At a hard right or left turn I do get CV bind. BUT I just learned what conditions to avoid as far as turns to prevent it from occuring. I love the kit so far on my truck. I

My 01 Sierra C3 has about a 3.5/5 and I don't have issues either, and they look a lot lower from the factory! I think it may be Belltech and McGaughys just covering their *** in the case something does go wrong with binding in the front.

I'm going to order the Belltech 647SP kit, which has spindles, adjustable struts, rear flip kit, with a different shackle hanger, plus all the hardware. This kit will give me adaptability in the front from 0-4" drop, and the rear of 5" or 6". Ill start with a 3/5 and see how it looks and where the front end axles and ball joints look...then maybe go lower if i can.

Ill post pics when its done...
