I'm curious and I need the knowledge...lol. I have 3.73's, LY5, 4L60E, bone stock, K&N drop in. I know its in reference to the gears, so at the risk of showing my mechanical ignorance what is the benefit of going from 3.73 to 4.10? More to the point you folks are uber knowledgable and I just have a lack of it.

I also want to know like countrybarber210 because I think the difference is not that much if you go from 3:73's to 4:10's but please inform me if I am wrong.I have heard changing to 3:73's or 4:10's from 3:42's you see a huge difference

I'm getting ready to swap my 3.23's to 4.10's in the next few weeks. I've been reading all I can about the swap, but if you guys have any extra tips I'd appreciate it. Does this install kit come with everything needed? http://www.ronsmachiningservice.net/...HEVY-10/Detail

Well I finally got my 4.10`s installed. I bought them in April and the mechanic and I just couldn`t get together to find the time to put them in. They are OEM gears I got from Ron`s. So far they are working great. They are quite as stock. There is not a big difference in performance but you can definitely feel it. I have a Black Bear tune and will monitor MPG to see how much difference I get. 90% of miles on this truck are in city so it should not be to bad.
