3:73 vs 4:10 Gears

Sorry if I offended anyone specially beatdown z... But I remember when this truck was stock... And remembered when I had 24s ... And the setup I have now 60-120mph is way better like 100x better...

What's the point in having a 200+mph topend if you will never get there?
In 3rd gear with 29.74" tall tires I can hit 135 at 6500 rpm. I can get there and stay there pretty easily. 3rd gear with 4.30's pulls as hard as 2nd gear with 3.42's used to. I KINDA wish I could hit 140-150 but that's really damn fast in a truck. Need more HP/TQ to gain speed in 4th.
If you plan to run turbo down the road go with 3.42. If not get 4.11

4.11s is where it's at!
Unless of course you are going turbo in the future, then you want to keep your 3.42s to load up the engine because they are load dependent.

Yeah you guys are right, it would kinda be a waste to get the 3:73's. I'm not looking for top end anyways. I hit 110mph in it once just to see if the limiter was really turned off after I had it tuned. So 4:10's it is. Thanks guys.

Like my posts a few back 3:73s and 4:11s are good mid range gears. Not bad for the city but not killing you on the highway.
Then you can do donuts like your daddy at the track.

Not once have I seen you do donuts. I don't even know if you would be willing to get the rubber from your tire on your truck, you might faint if that happened. Lol
