I say do whatever makes you happy. One question for you: you pulled your speed limiter, right? If you do 4.10s, you should trap over 100mph in the 1/4-mile, so you may want to look at swapping out your driveshaft at the same time just to be safe.

I'm originally from MI so I can't help you with suppliers, but I can tell you that on cars designed to top out around 150 (like your 92 Formula and my 93 Z28) GM made sure the driveshafts could handle the high speeds. However, on a vehicle that they have limited to 100mph or less for the last couple decades, why would they spend money to make it usable at speeds that are in excess of the limiter? I don't like it either, but I have only heard of one person who had an issue under 100mph, so why put a part on a 98mph truck that is good up to 140mph?

That's the thing: the only reason I've ever heard of them failing is from excessive speed or obscene power; never from long-term normal wear and tear. Guys I know with stock trucks are all still running original driveshafts with no issues, regardless of mileage.
