Hi I am new here but have a couple of quesion about this swap before I start. I have an 07 NNBS Crew Cab 2WD. I know it has been done by a few members so I used their write ups as a starting point. What I am look at for my truck is to start with the ECM from an 09 with the same motor and a 6 speed. But from there I am not sure what will need to be done for the tuning and more importantly VIN.
Here is a basic list of the major components I am getting together:
1 ECM from an 09
2 Trans with TC
3 Engine Wireness from the 09
4 the shifter
5 THe cluster (to have PRNDM)
6 I have a VIN for the 09 already
7 Slip Yoke
8 Cooler Lines
9 Maybe a cross member ( or mod mine)
10 Dip tube
I am sure there will be some other little parts.
Now first to those that have done this, does this plan sound like it will work. Any thoughts or suggestions. And where you able to the TU/TD functions to work?
Thanks
Bob

the 09 ecm is pointless
the cluster may not swap over...you can just reflash yours current cluster i think a GM tech would know for sure
the easiest way to do it is to get a harness for an 07 denali 2wd and repin the few sensors
the tu/td is via BCM so your current bcm needs to be reflashed with a OS thats has the 6spd already and the same factory options as yours. the bcm is a touchy issue and i didnt deal with it.

I hear of 6 speed guys saying the TU/TD feature is kind of delayed, and you can easily miss gears if the buttons aren't firmly pressed.
I know my new f150 5.0/6speed work truck has the TU/TD and it has a laggy response. Although it is all stock lol.

I never asked about the 4l60e swap to 80E ... Only the 6L80E i was swapping... Go to circle D and Ask Chris .. He will know and point u in theright direction .. My understanding was its the same on all nnbs Ls flexplates and only needs spacers for certain circumstances .. But im noexpert .. Chris or other sponsors will know for sure
