4l60 to 6l80 swap

Thanks for the replies.
Like is said I am in the starting stages of getting everything. The reason I was looking at the 09 ECM with matching harness, is that both the 09 the my truck both have the LY5 motor. A difference is the trannies. Also, I have learned that there was an OS Change in 09 so my ECM would not work. I have a dealer that will flash a ECM with the 09 flash, if that is the way I go.
Iamkeniff: I Reread through your post where you detailed the swap you did, which is helped a lot. The problem I would have with a Denali flash is the motor is all wrong. Also, I have figured the BCM would be a pain, so I am also think of getting a corvette TCM flash to bypass the TU/TD function of the BCM.
Well I need to get the software plan figured out. Thank again for any more input.

the engine side of the ecm tune can be changed by the tuner
as for the corvette setup you need a tutd harness to make that work which i have sitting in my tool box. i wont be using it so if you want pm an we can discuss it.
yes the 07 an 08 use same OS style an the 09+ is different....yet there is no need to swap any of that if you do what i mentioned. plus itll save you money on buying an ecm you dont need

Iamkeniff, I just read your build and get it. Since I need to tune the truck anyways I am going to a new plan of attack. I am going to use an 07 or 08 Denali os and harness and have the tuner put my current engine data back in along with my current VIN. Now I just need two VINs one for the 2wd denali and a 2500 with similar option for the BCM and Cluster.
