with a shift kit installed . . . it's night and day difference in just the shifting . . . not just the firmness, but how quick it shifts - and this can't be done with just a tune
you can hold any gear at any rpm, at any time - with out a tune . . .
not to mention the hardened plate that it comes with will last longer than the stocker with the higher line pressures.
sure a tune can make you chirp your 1-2 shift all day long, or make it shift harder . . . but in the end, the shift kit will make it last longer with the upgraded springs and valves

The 4L70E already has a Vette servo in it....one of the upgrades from the 4L65E. ![Grin](https://www.performancetrucks.net/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Since I don't know what other upgrades from the 4L60E HD2 shift kit may already be in the 4L70E, I suggest you call Vince from FLT or better yet, call Transgo directly. They've always been helpful to me when I've called.
