Looks like I was wrong. I swore I saw them available when I was shopping for gears but I can't find them now. It is unfortunate because with your larger tires 4.30s would be perfect IMO. 4.56s????

That's what I've been investigating. I like the idea of 4.30s because they wouldn't be insane if I decided to throw some factory-height tires on at some point, but I don't have that option. If I were to leave the truck as is (n/a on the 33s) I think 4.56s and a moderate multidisk converter would be perfect, with maybe a cam swap and headers down the road, but if I ever decide FI is the way to go for me I don't want to have a gear I regret. I don't know; I'll probably leave it alone for now and maybe look into a converter or long-tubes, just because both will work just fine no matter what I decide to do in the future. Some 4.56s would be mean as it sits right now though

OK guys here is the update on the gear swap HOLLY SH*TTTTT what a change. Went from 3:43 to 4:10 and like I said holly sh*t this is the best mod I could have done. The truck pulls really hard off the line gets way better gas milage and well I havent hooked the new trailer to it yet but I would have to say that it has to be a real big improvement towing. I have only drove the truck about 40 miles or so but I used to get about 16 mpg and in my first short city highway driving (and driving it hard) I averaged 21 mpg. I really dont know what else to say other than if you are considering a gear swap I would deffinately recommend it. Im not to sure on the 4:56 swap but Im thinking that it might be an even better choice. I didnt go that route because I thought it might be to much but now Im reconsidering. Dont get me wrong Im happy with what I have and wont be going any further but if you are considering 4:10 or 4:56 I might lean to the ladder.
I will definately update once I get the trailer hooked to the truck and see how it does towing 4800 lbs down the road.
Hope this helps all you guys that are sitting on the fence.
Oh ya and I think that gm should smarten up and do some research when it comes to gearing there trucks for economy because they are wrong installing anything higher than a 3:73 in a 6000 lb plus truck
