I hear alot of chatter about oil soaked CIA's vs dry filter CIA's - yes I know the oil soaked ones can screw with the MAF. Never seen it - but have heard it - Also heard the warranty ****'s at the dealer dont like the oiled filter type - GM does sell at CIA for the 08's and 09's (at 450.00 LOL ) so just asking - see what the opinions are there oil or dry? - Who make dry filter CIA's ?

I bought a AirAid for my 09 Silverado. I think there are a few more available now.

GM Performance Parts has one for the 09s. I have one and prefer it to the K&Ns etc that I used to use. The GMPP is a true COLD AIR intake because it is a sealed airbox that draws outside air. The others don't really seal very well against the hood so their exposed filter draws in some hot underhood air. The GMPP also uses a dry cone filter so no worries about oil on the MAF.

Do you know what the part number is? I want one of these. Airaid doesn't seem to be interested in selling me just the tube.
