5.3-6.2 Swap
Hey y'all Ive been looking at all these performance mods for torque, and as me and my cousin were looking he said a very smart thing to me. " why not sell your 5.3, keep your your mods and through them on a new/used 6.2". That defiantly made a light go off in my head. Why bother with supercharging a 5.3 when all i really want is around 400 foot pounds of torque and around 380 hp. I'm assuming i can use my k&n, LT headers and off-road y-pipe for the 6.2 and should make close to 380 hp to the wheels. After a tune for 93 octane of coarse . My truck is on 295/70r18s and lifted therefore its not a racer, unless some one wants to make one at a red light . I'm in college and dont have a huge budget. What do yall think this swap would cost me. Unless someone wants to trade their 6.2 for a 5.3 that would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty young (19) and have some knowledge with swapping engines. But i also have two neighbors that have lifts and builds racing motors. So i shouldn't have to much trouble with the install. Any ideas on pricing? or would it really be worth it?

it's pretty simple. i did my engine, transmission swap in my driveway by myself pretty much
first of all you have to decide if you are putting a bone stock 6.2 in it or a cammed 6.2
pm if you have any questions.

Not really. Anything 220 and smaller on intake side can work well and still hae enough *** to make something on the big end.

The 60e will live behind 400hp if you take caution an know how to drive it. Mine held just fine behind 400hp but i could tell it was slowing down the last month of its life. I bet if i would have shifted at 6400ish it would have lived longer than at 6800
