You can keep the VVT but my builder told me thats where they fail. THere is a cam phaser you can get to limit the amount of timing it can adjust. I prefered to not risk it.

Ok I decided to delete the vvt what's a good factory non vvt cam or a small aftermarket cam that will get me over the 400 flywheel hp? I want it to have a stock like idle and good low end. Im gonna be towing a 21' boat with it. I'm going with arh long tubes and a factory 3.5" cat back off a 6.2 to help it breath.

What about the ls9 cam i found a few threads that the cam was used in n/a engines and boosted witch i might do in the future. looks like it just extended the power band and kept the low end witch works for me. any thoughts?

I don't know much about cams but I had my engine builder spec me mine out for my 415
Mine has an Isky cam specs 230/240 @.050 &.592/.605 113 lsa
what that means, i don't know.
