6.2 fuel mileage update
#12
Glad to see the guys with the 3.73s are doing just as good as me. I wonder how 4.10s would do on the highway? City mileage already sucks but if I could get 18 on the freeway it would be my next mod.

I took a CO/NM/AZ/NV/UT/CO road trip in early Nov. I averaged between mid 15.n (very windy) to 21.n on the highway driving 75-80. My truck is stock except for a 2/3 drop. It has 3.73s and 18s.
Boy do these 6.2s scoot down near sea level. I am used to driving mine at my home altitudes of 6500 to 7300 feet. The difference in power is huge!

(I live at about 300' but I know I want something like that.)

An altitude compensation unit...
I've used those (Vortech) at this altitude and they work quite well.

25' is down there though, you can keep the heat and humidity though. Anything over 90 is just to warm for me LOL

i'm getting a 18.5 all hwy with 3.73's with 4k miles on truck. i can tell after 65 mph the gas mileage goes down.
everyday driving which is 25%hwy and 75%city it averages 15.
