2300 miles one way blows my 1180 out the water! i'm assuming you are making a round trip and should see total miles of 4600 or so. i was ready to get the hell out of my truck with only 2572 miles. it made such a huge difference to stay under 70. might be different for you cause you'll be running a bit higher rpm with your 373s. once i got over 70 it just started dropping rapidly. i think 70 is somewhere around 1600-1700 rpm and 80 is 2000 for me.

i was in milwaukee for most of the the week but i did take the ferry across lake michigan and i went to detriot for the henry ford museum and greenfield village. it was pretty awesome. hopefully the temperatures are better for you. we were hoping for 70-75 for highs as that is what they had for the last month. didn't work out for us. it was 80-90 the entire time we were up there! still better than 105+.

Got back from MI on Saturday with the following results. 2500 miles one way without shutting off the truck or the AC: 15.8mpg. Was over 16 at the halfway mark, 16.4 iirc. On the return trip we drove a direct route of 1400 miles for a fuel economy average of 14.7mpg, but we were averaging over 80 as opposed to the drive out when we tried to stay at or under 2000rpm, and we also ran the truck quite a bit while parked as we had on the way out.

6.2 crew 4x4 3.73 on 285/70-17 DuraTracs; BlackBear tune with a drop-in and MIT.
All in all we were happy with the results, we spent less on gas than we expected to so it worked out great.
