Default 6.2 ordered a converter

I just got off the phone with Chris at Circle D and ordered a converter for my 6.2 EC Silverado. These trucks suck from a dig for about 1.5 seconds until they get into there powerband hence the shitty 60 foots....

The truck went 13.9 multiple times at 99.5 with ARH long tubes, a bullet muffler and a tune.

I recently changed to 28.8 inch height drag radials stock is 31.7 tall tires in hopes to pickup some gear ratio. They are also lighter with the wheels i got on the truck from centerline. I'm hoping to have gained some ET with the tire height change.

As for the converter I went with a Billet Multi Disc 2800-3000 stall Circle D cause i do tow ocassionally. what should i expect???? I cant wait to get some new ET's! Of course i will post ASAP.

It'll rip! The new converter plus lighter, stickier rolling stock and a better effective gear ratio will feel much more aggressive. I think you will be under 13.5 no problem, and 13.2 seems perfectly possible.

Lance, I told Chris at circle D that i do tow and my trailer/car/and load is not light. At least 6000lbs. He pretty much said it wont be a problem. Yes the converter has to be locked up to be efficient. right now i get around 16.50 average mileage on the highway. remember i have 3.73 with 28.8 inch tall tires. when i cruse at 2K or under i get good mileage. 2K and over it drops off.

RJWZ i was def hoping for some sub 13.5 passes. i would love to see 13.2 i will be the first to let you know!!!!!!! I may also get an underdrive pulley on there before hand from SLP as well. who knows if that will do a damm thing.

Very interested in your results. I have a 2011 GMC Sierra with the 6.2L and 3.73's and with a custom tune, performance muffler and drop in K&N the best I could run was 14.1

Wanting to get a converter and some LT's and get into the low 13's

Keep us posted!

I would avoid the underdrive pulley if you are even thinking about a blower in the future. Just my $.02.

4wd here; only idea I've got for my truck's performance is Phil's time. He ran a low 15 et with the same truck (CCSB NHT) on the same size tires, but in 4wd and he's stock other than the level and tires. With my intake and tune and a 2wd launch I feel like I'm at least mid-14 territory, but I've got nothing but a close race with a 3v GT to back up my hunch.
