hmm thats intersting to say it wont work?? i just ordered both the headers and y pipe..and concered its not gonna work now..so i just called pacesetter..and they said there shouldnt be any issue with the trans the only reason it wouldnt work would be if the muffler is a dual inlet..whichs its not atleast on my truck

Got some info from pacesetter...
MY QUESTIONS:
1. The 6.2 engine uses the same headers as the 5.3? That model# (72c2267) says its for the 4.8/5.3/6.0.
2. I'm in the middle of Arkansas, so little to no salt used here. In your professional opinion, do you think the non-coated ones would give me 4-5 yrs with out issues? Not concerned with appearance, just functionality.
3. What about the Y pipe? Do you guys have a Y pipe to work around my bulky 6-speed transmission and mate up to my stock catback?
THEIR RESPONSE:
The heads are the same for the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0 & 6.2! Yes you should get 5+ years out of them, and we haven't had any feedback about the y-pipe not working with the transmission. The only thing that would concern me is if the muffler has a dual inlet design.. The y-pipe is made for a single inlet....

I'm really surprised this isn't common knowledge yet. These headers have been on the market for 3 years now.

I posted pictures in the other thread of why the Y doesn't work. I took plenty of pictures and showed it. Look for 06 4.8s thread regarding headers and you will see.
