I saw that. Looks like the dyno test on my Shafiroff 565 in my race car - it peaks (more like plateaus) at just over 1000HP over a 1000RPM spread too, but I'm thinking that's more of a product of the motor reaching the flow limit of the carb. It may be that the long runner truck intake becomes a limiting factor at the high end with the bigger cams in the L92, because there's not much difference in power between the #402 and the #403 cams, from the tests that GM High Tech did.
But, imagine what we might see one of these days when we have race motors with VVT, where you can really expore the benefit of retarding cam timing at high RPMs.
