ive got a spintech thats dumped. not tooo bad running no cats. although i am putting cats in when i go to 4l80 im kind of disappointed it will get quieter. your videos sound exactly like my truck though minus the 6 sp trans

The camera doesn't even give a decent example of how loud it really is. I cannot afford to get another ticket in the next 6 months as I am currently on a deferred sentence with a previous ticket. I cannot have tickets on my record as I need a company truck for my job and their insurance has to be willing to cover me. I'm at a loss on what to do really. I'll try a tailpipe and see how that works out. Cops in my town are ****'s about modded trucks (since we have 4-6 10-12 second trucks running around town) and exhaust is something they use as an excuse to pull us over.

To keep from starting a thread whats the size muffler I need to go on a 08 5.3. Would it be a 3" inlet to slide over the pipe

That would work. There would just be a small gap to weld up. Any competent welder should be able to do it.

here is what I ended up doing with mine.
This is 3.5 inch which was still too loud, I have the same setup in 3 inch now.

Was the 3.5" through the factory tubing? I want to fab up a 3.5" on mine and not sure what's the best plan of attack.
