Default 6.2 swap

Hey guy's I no this has been brought up probably a thousand times but how much trouble is to swap a 6.2 in a 07 nnbs with a 5.3,the 5.3 is not a slouch runs 9.70's in the 1/8(trailblazer verter,no cats, tune etc)but it's time for a six two and no more than what I owe would probably be better just swapping motors if it's not to bad.If I do this what would be the best year motor to look for and also my 4l70 is fresh with some good parts in it and would just like to keep it.THANKS!

If you want plug and play then get a 2011+. It will have the same afm and vvt your truck has. If you don't care about the afm option missing, then 07-10 will do. You just need to turn off the afm option in the tune and you need to reflash the ecm with a 6.2 tune for either of them.

11'up L9H has variable valve timing but does not have DOD crap. If you want DOD then hit up a 6.2 out of a escalade or denali SUV/truck. The VMAX package trucks will have the L9H NON DOD engine.

If you do the swap be sure to make a thread on it....one of these days I'll get the cash and enough knowledge to take this 4.3 out and upgrade to something a tad more fun to play with lol

That's a good price. Our cost on my SLT short crew 6.2 4x4 was 36 and change before TTL in nov of 11.
