Default 6.2 versus 6.2 BOTH TUNED!!

Ok guys these are the same 6.2's in the thread about the ford racing the stock 6.2 and duramax, a couple of threads under this one! The videos are from my truck, my mods in my sig. The other truck is the silver one in the previous videos, he just put a borla sportsman muffler on it and it is tuned with hp tuners as well! His is tuned for 93 and mine is 87 tune, both 3.73's. The first video is 0-115 or 120. He jumped me a lil bit but I was surprised to pull him back. This is a good sound clip video for his exhaust sound as well!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4u9L...e_gdata_player The second video is 0-115 and we take off at same time! This time is a lot closer and he pulls me a lil on top end, this one is a better race tho! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV6LZ...e_gdata_player And the last one is from a 3000 1st gear punch to about 115 as well!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XpIP...e_gdata_player

are the drive shafts in the 6.2 the same as those in the 5.3, aluminum ds? If so, I'd be a little leary doing a lot of runs over 100.

cool videos

Im not sure never really looked at the 5.3's we all have 6.2's! Ive been over 100 and nothing yet! I don't really make a habit of it tho! I wouldn't think GM would make a truck that would run like that and have a driveshaft that wouldn't hold up.

They both have 3.73's, my brother has the factory 20's and I have the 17's that came with the heavy duty trailering package! He has a borla sportsman muffler and I just have the muffler delete replaced with 3.5 pipe, his is tuned for 93 an mine for 87, both hp tuners

17's are worth a good deal of HP to the ground than those 20's alot less rotating mass, but his 93 octance tune is probably making up for that. Both trucks are definetly moving out though !

Yeah, I would run the 93 tune but gas is getting a lil high for that now! I think we are gonna try an go to the track Saturday night and see what they do. I should get him in the 1/8! Yeah I can't get over how fast they are to weigh 5500 lbs!!
