Default 6.2 vs 2011duramax vs 2011f250 vs tuned 6.2

Ok men I have videos for all these races and I gotta post em but Im gonna tell yall what happened first! The tuned 6.2 got the duramax 0-100 by 4-5 lengths! I drove the duramax to make sure it was in 4wd and stalled to full boost or as much as possible. Both trucks were in 4wd. 6.2 has 3.73s . The duramax got the stock 6.2 [with 3.73s] by bout 2-3 lengths. Both stalled and in 4wd to eliminate spinning. The stock 6.2 got the f250 which was also stalled and in 4wd by 5-6 lengths. I own the tuned 6.2 and just by driving the duramax I was a little worried about racing it but my truck killed it! The stock 6.2 is an 2011 and we cant tune it yet but its coming! These are all 4wd crew cabs. The f250 was pre fords updated tune but his brother has one that has the update and they cant tell any diff in em they say. I really thought the f250 would perform better but it didnt. The gas burners weigh 5400lbs with 1/2 tank and the duramax weighs 7500lbs full of fuel. Havnt checked the weight of the f250s but those guys say 9000lbs but I dont see that maybe you guys can help with that. I will get these posted asap.

Very cool. I didn't realize how heavy the 3/4 crew cabs are.

I wouldn't be all too excited that your tuned 6.2 beat a stock duramax...one little canned inexpensive tune to that dmax and it's lights out for your 6.2. Just saying.

My 06lbz dmax with an efi tune on 35s with a full toolbox and fifth wheel hitch in the bed ran 14.9@90. Similar trucks without the weight and tires run low 14s, high 13s. There have been quite a few who have been guys who have ran mid 13s on stock transmissions with nothing more than a tune.

Ok thanks for your input but I never said I was excited! Maybe you didnt or coudnt read the post correctly. This was just a comparrison to the three diff trucks the major one being the f250! Put you a simple little tune on the f250 and you will still be looking at tailights! Just comparing the way the trucks ran as they were. Im not an idiot and I know the duramax would run better with a tune! DUH who doesnt? We will be experimenting with the duramax tune as soon as we are able to tune it. Its my dads duramax so should be able to play with it a pretty good bit. These guys around here aare caught up in the FORD world and cant believe the new f250 wouldnt run any better than it did. they are blaming it on weight but nobody told ford to build it that heavy. Their f250 is not getting very good fuel milage either. He pulled two four wheelers to TN and got 12mpg with a small trailer. Not good IMOP. the duramax is great on fuel and so is the 6.2s! Loaded or empty.

I had a 2006 ecsb Dmax with a 6" lift and 35x13.50 tires on 18" wheels, with a built tranny. I ran a best of 13.4 with that setup. Other than the built tranny, it had a CAI, exhaust from the turbo back, a lift pump, and a tune.
