Yeah that wouldn't worry me. Everything I see with LS3 vettes says 6600, but whether it is 6500 or 6600 is pretty irrelevant, the point is that more than 6000 is just fine.

I set mine so my right foot is the rev limiter. The motor tells you when it's had enough or getting close to the point where you need to back out of it.

6200 to 65 is a safe zone if you want an active limiter

Where did you set your full-throttle shift points?

Sounds good. Just curious, what are your other mods and which truck are you running?

I have noticed alot of y'all are running shift points over 6k.
I just find it weird that the Tach stops at 6k. I have always noticed that the stock tack usually runs past the redline.

Notice how there is no actual "RED LINE" on the stock tach though.

True! haven't noticed one since what 98? Even so wouldn't they show 6500 or 7000 if the redline went past 6k?

GM Cutbacks

Red lines cost too much........

You are driving an auto, so it doesn't matter where the red line is, its limited before it and it shifts before the limiter...I guess thats the reasoning.

I don't think the 4.3 with the stick even has a tach. I haven't seen one in years...and all the V8 engines are mated to a slush box.

Thats too funny. I'd love to raise the rev limiter just worried to blow up the motor as everywhere else it says 5900 max. That would be hard to explain to the dealer.
