Not if you return it to stock

The factory rev limit is 5900.

I can tell you you shift much lower and the limiter is set lower than that too. you can safely bump it to 6100 and shift at 6k. That's what I'm doing with my truck.

There's no point in shifting way past your power band. Just because you rev high doesn't mean you're still making power. You want to optimize your shift points so that you're still in your peak power band after the shift.

True with a high stall where you lose less rpm during the shift...but, stock, you fall out of your optimum band during the shift, bumping up the shift RPM may keep you in the power band when you hit the next gear.


And yeah Lew should be able to take care of you.

The Trinity performance tune only allowed me to go to +400. And only when shifting in manual mode.

With HP tuners I am setting my limiter to 6200 and shifts at 6000....for performance mode (Tow/Haul). For daily driving I'll likely just leave it alone.

Here is a nice Youtube video of a 11' GMC Sierra 6.2L, This thing is moving out pretty good, looks like its shifting around 6400 or so..

I dunno mine shifts about the same spot. I also noticed a early shift!

I asked today and found out my Rev Limiter is set to 6200.
