Seems like making the tapshift functional is the biggest unknown of this swap. Its whats keeping me from doing it as Id want it for towing and offroad use.

Tapshift is easy upgrade to a uplevel bcm. Change the shifter some vehicles have the tu/td shifter wiring already some dont but it's only 4 wires to the bcm from the shifter. Then flash the bcm for a vehicle with a 6 speed tranny and interior options as close to your truck if not exactly as you can get.

TU/TD works over the databus after all of the above are done.

Basically the advantage of going with an 07 2wd denali harness is you wont have to repin any of the connectors on it like keniff had to do.

Good to know its a simple BCM flash on my LTZ truck, looks like Ill be doing this swap sooner than I had planned

1slow01Z71, you need to throw up a build thread when you do it. It'd be nice to keep an eye on your truck as you make your truck yours.

I also look forward to seeing what goes down with the OP's 90E conversion. It should be able to take some serious grunt, considering that the trans is OEM in the 580hp ZL1 and 556hp V, and those cars should only be a few hundred pounds lighter than your truck.

dang I have an SLT so the TU/TD doesn't sound to hard. 4.56/6 speed/ and 33s. That shoudl keep the 5.3 in its powerband lol.

Only issue with the bcm is if they cant reflash the one you have you will have to buy a new bcm and then have the radio reflashed. Its a 500 issue i dont want to try.

Someone call John @ speartech and see if he can take the tu/td shifter and modify it to work in a corvette tcm system. The corvette tcm does not require a bcm to control the tu/td.

I use my tow/haul button to do what i want so im not really worried with it.
