Highway MPG on my truck came up about 1.5 miles goin to 4:56's and the tranny quit hunting from 6-5 on the smallest grade. Holy mother of god will she move out when you lay the wood to it. I'm lowered 2/4 on stock denali 20's and OE tire size.

For all you lifted guys do 4:56's especially with 32 up tires this pos 6 speed tranny needs gears. I would way rather have the 4l60 back.

Holy cow, tamu, that's an amazing mileage improvement with a 6.2.

Curious what your actual tire height is with 20" wheels. I'm on 33s on stock 17" wheels, with 3.73s - and only turning 2000-2200 or so (if memory serves?) at 70.

I'll bet that 4.56s make a huge difference in response and acceleration, but surprised that mileage goes up 1.5.

I'm not bs ing I have no reason to. Driven sanely on vacation trip to colorado 2 weeks ago 75-80 for hours on the interstate and straight roads in NM landed 19-21
Got about 11-12 pulling long grades in the mountains but that 6.2 never even knew we were climbing a mountain especially in the million dollar rd area around telluride silverton and ouray in ranges from 8-12000 feet
Running around on 2-3 hr trips in our area it's about 18-20.

Around town is kinda painful gas gauge chases the speedo but I never drive in town so it's a non issue this truck is a long trip highway truck anytime I drive it. (it was that way bone stock before I ever touched it though)

Im on michelin 275/55/20 ltx ms2's OE tire size I put the michelins on it when truck had 55.5 miles on it the exact distance from our shop to discount tire in san antonio.

Did you order your truck band new or did you wait for a good one to come across your lot?

Nope special ordered it in september of 10' got pics of it on the transporter being delivered on oct 31,2010 drove it home on nov 1st.

Dark blue SLT 6.2 cc 4x4 tan interior ordered with everything except for backup camera and rear object detection sensors because whaddaya know they put mirrors on a truck for some weird reason.

Wish I had ordered with OEM nav not real happy with my pioneer overall.

I had a similar setup on my 07 CC... 3/1 lift and 33's and it would literally average single digits if i put so much as an aluminum boat behind it. My truck is a 5.3 with 4spd and 3.08 gears too... terrible idea. I ended up dropping the truck 2/4 lower than stock and putting stock size tires back on it (275/55/20) and I average around 20 unloaded and get 14-15 towing. not too shabby, but it still needs to be tuned.

4.56s for 33s FTW! i have and love it! MPG went down but who cares i have a truck not a car, but that's mainly because its a blast to drive with 33s and 4.56s. My brand new Toyo mts will need to be replaced by the end of this year and they only have 5k miles on them, but boy burnouts are fun

The backup camera comes in handy if you tow and also getting nice and close to my garage.I do laugh at people who have reverse cameras and dents on their bumper.

Just back from camping. 2013 6.2 ecsb with 3.73's nht package. Pulling a 4500# camper 70 mph on STEEP mountains it got 8.7 mpg average. Unhooked the camper and drove around empty over the same steep grades and averaged 18.2 mpg. Not terrible considering the camper has the aerodynamics of a cinder block. I'm still not used to the trans downshifting in tow/haul and the engine rpm's but the power is great!
