Abs/traction control light????
PT Buds,
I was just standing in line @ Mcdonalds and after a few minutes with my foot on the brake pedal and the truck in the drive position all of a sudden my abs and tracking control light came on along with some called the stabiltrak displayed on the info. center has this happen to anyone? Whats weird is that i previously owned a dodge and the same thing would happen just it would take longer in that one. Please help!!!

might sound dumb, but check your break fluid level, if its below a certain point, it will show those lights/warnings. there's a thread floating around on here with possible causes on this issue.

If it not brake fluid level related then go take it to a dealer or independent shop and and see what code it has stored. There are entirely tooooooo many things that cause these lamps to illuminate. The ABS module is the first stop and no autozone and other freebie places can't scan any modules other than ECM/PCM.
Once a fault is detected the within the ABS system it stores a code. Then the ABS system disables the ancillary traction control and stabilitrack track systems as a safety precaution since it can't correctly control these if certain inputs are incorrect or missing or erratic.
The pcm also has the capability of disabling stabilitrack and traction control if certain codes and or conditions develop.
