Default Adding Factory Navigation

How do I add a GM factory nav unit to my non Bose truck? I know I will need a amp because the nav unit isn't amped.

What year truck? I swiched my factory stereo for a factory navigation unit on my 08 Silvy, direct plug and play. Did have to get it unlocked though. I havent hooked up the Nav or Back up camera yet.

When playing around with options on the chevy page it makes it look like you need the bucket seats/different center console area and bose to have navigation. If this is all direct plug and play how much is that OEM unit? It would be nice to add Navigation and the Bose at the same time.

EDIT

After reading that guide I think it will be different for '11s. It mentioned the rear vision camera being part of the nav unit; I guess this was the case with 07-10s? Now that the rear camera displays in the mirror the Nav units may be a little different.

Got a 09 reg cab and added the factory Nav , put a Pioneer 4 channel amp under the front seat with a Blaupunkt thb200a sub . Used a Pac AOEM-GM1416 to get the signal to the amp. Sound is pretty good with the stock speakers. There is very little volume without the amp and sounds real tinny .

Does anyone know if it is possible or cost effective to add all of the Bose parts to a non-Bose truck?

Mines also an 08 without Bose system. As far as adding the Nav. and back up camera features......I've been told to just buy the antenna, nav cd, and camera and will hook up perfectly. I found all these on ebay, just havent convinced myself to spend $500 when I live in an EXTREMELY small town....

I paid just about $700 for it about 2 years ago. Plugged it in, took it to the dealership to get unlocked, and worked like a charm. I thought it was a fair price considering when you buy an aftermarket unit you will also need to buy about 3 different harnesses for the steering wheel controls, xm satilite radio, and another for the ONSTAR feature. NO need for any of those with factory touchscreen.....

As far as the backup camera goes, I just don't see what it has to do with the navigation steroe. My camera's disply is in the rearview mirror.
