I would likely keep it where it is (unless it is possible for it to appear in both places) because I would rather be looking into the mirror while I back up than into the cabin of the vehicle. Somehow I will find a way to swap in the factory nav AND Bose into my truck and have everything work.

I paid just about $700 for it about 2 years ago. Plugged it in, took it to the dealership to get unlocked, and worked like a charm. I thought it was a fair price considering when you buy an aftermarket unit you will also need to buy about 3 different harnesses for the steering wheel controls, xm satilite radio, and another for the ONSTAR feature. NO need for any of those with factory touchscreen.....
