Aftermarket Driveshaft help
I was reading through post and need help determining what drive shaft my truck has.
I have a 2010 GMC Sierra Ext cab 6.5" Bed GVW 7,000 4x4 if I read correctly I have a 143.5" Wheel base. It has a LC9 5.3L and a 6-speed MYC transmission. OEM part number 15794227 but unsure the length. Can anyone help? Also who do you recommend for a new shaft?

Im not trying to be a dick, but why dont you just go look under your truck and use a tape measure? Instead of cross referencing part number and RPO codes to determine what your truck has. What are you trying to accomplish with this information? Make it not blow up at speed?

When I asked at the dealership for a list of different kind of factory shafts he spun the screen around and showed me about 40 different ones in the gmt900 trucks. Like said, the best is to just measure joint to joint.. Driveshaft specialists seem to do a good job and who I plan on going with.

I normally would just crawl underneath it but unfortunately I am back in Iraq and can't. I don't have anyone competent enough back home to do it for me either. This truck will get tracked occasionally so I just want a stronger shaft and joints after seeing a picture of someone's one piece breaking.
