Default air bags in passenger seat

im going to the track soon and was thinking about removing the passenger seat for less weight but i dont know if it will affect the airbag system. its a 2012 with airbags in the seats. anyone knowledgeable about this? i will disconnect the battery on removal and reinstall.

your SRS light will be on but thats about it
make sure to ground yourself out before disconnecting the yellow connector, they have a short bar to prevent static issues but its always better to be safe!

It's a hard failure code and will require a scanner to clear SIR codes after reinstalling the seat.
