Have you looked into Dynabeads? There like little lead(i think) pellets you put in through the valve stem, if the tires mounted, and allows for ballancing on the go. I have used them for off road applications with great results, and I have a few buddies that use them in their bikes. Nothing but great results.

I'm not and 6" in the back is as low as I'll be going. I cut the factory bump stop mounts off and relocated the bump stop to the frame. There's still a good 3-4" between the bump stop and axle. I haven't had time to test it on a bumpy road yet

7" is fine for the standard cab short beds, the extended cab and crew cabs sit slightly lower, so most prefer helper bags or a notch, or both at 7". I only bottom on on some nasty pot holes with mine.
