Anyone else??
I got a 08 CC with a 4.8 Right now its basically stock (tune and longtubes, and a muffler) Im about to turn 6,000 miles, its been a little cooler than normal in the mornings, but I live in south Louisiana so thats about 40* when getting onto the on ramp on my way to work, I notice the 2-3 shift isnt firm, and it over revs a little. Ive fried my share (7+) 4l60e's and one FLT level 5 with the help of a small fluid leak and my 6.0, but I cant believe Ive smoked one on a pretty much stock 4.8 WTF is the deal. These transmissions SUCK. I did ask am ex-Chevy transmission tech and he said it wasnt uncommon while cold, but I still think thats BS. I figured Id have a new trans before 25k miles, but never figured before 10k

the current computers have a memory of the last 10 cals loaded or something. they can check if it has been tuned or not. there was a thread about it a little while back. this is on the E67 and E38 pcms.
not to say you wont get away with it, but its possible for them to find out with the new PCMs.
