Default Anyone replace seat cover/cushion on 07+ truck?

Bought this truck used last week and the previous owner was a smoker, so there's burnt spots and also a small tear on the driver seat. It's a LT with black cloth. Can I just replace the *** portion of the seat with a new GM part?

I'd rather not do aftermarket seat covers, unless there is something really nice out there that I don't know about.

Thanks.

Yes you can replace just the cover by itself. I highly advise changing the cushion as well it's only a 100 bucks extra and the difference in comfort is worth it.

I did a leather swap in my truck. What a pain. The driver side seat bottom itself is not hard, but there are a few tricks...check out my thread it has links to the videos:

look into trying to find the newer 09 and up covers, supposedly its a better fabric. my '11 still seems like POS material but the dealer swears that i have abused my seat and that it is not coming apart. yeah, 5k miles at 1st complaint i find it hard that I destroyed a seat in 6 months.
he did say that the customers w/ the earlier NNBS had major issues so they revised the material.

ya the 09 up covers do not pick up as much lint. The bottom cover is super easy to do just do not rip out the plastic clips in the foam. Your thumbs will hurt when you are done
